In December 2008, The Mediated Museum research group was awarded the Nodem O8 Award for Nordic Digital Excellence in Museums, for their pilot study 2008.

Grants

  • The project Contemporary Cultural Heritage Processes and Remote Presence (Moderna Kulturarvsprocesser och Medierad Tillgänglighet) is funded 2009-2011 by the Swedish National Heritage Board. Research leader: Katty H Wahlgren, Museum of National Antiquities, Stockholm.

  • The 2008 pilot study Mediated Museum: search for the lost city was funded 2008 by Kulturrådet and the Swedish National Heritage Board. Research leader Katty H Wahlgren, Museum of National Antiquities, Stockholm.

  • The Mediated Spaces project is funded 2008-09 by VINNOVA (Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems) through the Centre for Sustainable Communications, (KTH), Stockholm. Research leader: Charlie Gullström, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm.>

  • The Remote Presence to Cultural Heritage Environments project was funded 2006-2008 by the Swedish National Heritage Board. Research Leader: Leif Handberg, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm.

  • The 2008 pilot study was carried out within Remote Presence to Cultural Heritage Environments and also received funding and support from the Swedish National Heritage Board, the Swedish Arts Council; the Royal Court of Sweden; the Museum of National Antiquities of Sweden; and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm.

  • The Public archaeology at Historiska museet project was carried out in 2007. It was mainly funded by the Museum of National Antiquities, and received additional funding by the Swedish Art Council. The included projects benefited from collaboration with the Swedish National Heritage Board, Malmö Heritage, Arkeologikonsult, Hjulstaskolan and The Swedish Road Administration. Research leader: Katty H Wahlgren.

  • The KTH R1 Experimental Performance Space is a project funded from 2007 by the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, with support from Akademiska Hus. Project leader: Leif Handberg, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm.
