Remote Presence to Cultural Heritage Environments 2006-08
The case to begin with was the discontinued reactor hall at KTH where Swedens first nuclear reactor, the experimental reactor R1, was located. In some installations the reactor hall has been remotely accessible. In April 2007 the reactor hall could be visited from the Museum of Science and Technology, via a mediated guide located in the reactor hall.

The reactor hall seen through a mediated window from the Museum of Science and Technology.
Another principle was tested in February 2008 when the control room for the reactor was "moved" to another location at KTH, where a replica of the control room was made. Communication with the Rector hall was made through a mediated version of the big glass window between the reactor hall and the control room.

A visitor in the control room replica communicating with people in the reactor hall through a large mediated window, replacing the original window.
A more general example was found when the project was approached by the Museum of National Antiquities and the idea of "the mediated museum" was launched, and the first pilot study conducted. (Read about the Pilot study 2008)
